I can happily recommend Kelly Williams as an able manager of administrative matters. She was invaluable in helping me run an expert-written review blog for Scientific American, Mind Matters. This new venture involved inviting a new researcher/author or two to contribute a blog post each week. With minimal guidance and consistent graciousness and efficiency, Kelly created and maintained a database of authors; created and maintained a tracking database for blog assignment invitations, acceptances, contract statuses, due dates, and manuscript status; and once I picked an author for each topic, Kelly sent the original invitations, prodded for responses when necessary, filled out and mailed hard copies of contracts, and tracked upcoming due dates and sent authors reminders when necessary. Before she joined the project, all these steps were constantly behind, threatening to sink the project. After she took over they ran like clockwork, allowing me to focus on identifying papers to cover and authors to cover them and editing the manuscripts when they came in. She put a tottering project on it’s feet, and was at all times responsive, timely, efficient, pleasant, and completely professional. I’d hire again without hesitation.
